Map Views

Acceptable use

Last updated 31 October 2026

Map Views is for researching Florida property: one parcel at a time, or a list of parcels for your own real estate work. These rules keep the service fair to members, safe for property owners and within the law. They are part of the Terms of service, and breaking them can end your account without a refund.

1. Never for screening people

Map Views is not a consumer reporting agency, and nothing on it is a consumer report. You may not use Map Views, or anything you get from it, as a factor in deciding whether a person is eligible for:

Nor may you use it to find or collect from a debtor. If we learn an account is used for any of these, we close it. If you see it happen, tell us through our privacy request form.

2. Contact people only as the law allows

Map Views has no phone numbers or email addresses of owners. If you contact someone from a name or mailing address you found here, or from contact details you added to your own notes, you alone answer for following the laws on mail, calls, texts and email (including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Florida's Telephone Solicitation Act, the do-not-call lists and CAN-SPAM), and for having the right to keep the details you add.

You may not use Map Views to harass, threaten, stalk or intimidate anyone, to find where a person lives in order to harm them, or to publish a person's home address with that intent (ss. 836.115 and 843.17, Florida Statutes). You may not use it to identify or target law enforcement officers, judges or other protected people.

3. No scraping, no resale

4. One person per account

An account is for one person. Do not share your sign-in. Signing in on a new device may sign you out of others. A team is for people who each have their own account.

5. Do not break or probe the service

No attempts to get into accounts or data that are not yours, to copy, decompile or reverse engineer the software, to find or exploit weaknesses (report them to us through our privacy request form instead), to overload the service, or to remove notices, credits or disclaimers from maps and exports.

6. Use it lawfully

No use that breaks a law, infringes someone's rights, or discriminates against a person in housing or lending, including under the Fair Housing Act.

What we do

We watch how much each account uses, to enforce these rules. We may limit, suspend or close an account that breaks them, and keep a record of what happened; you may write to us through our privacy request form and ask us to look again. Where the law asks, we report it. A material change to this policy is emailed to members 14 days before it applies.
