Is there a free Florida parcel map with owner names? The free routes, and a trial with no card

Yes, one county at a time: every Florida county's property appraiser runs a free search that shows each parcel's owner and mailing address, and the Department of Revenue posts the state's roll files for free. What the free routes lack is one map that crosses county lines with the flood, wetland and zoning layers on it. Map Views gives you that free for 7 days from the day you make an account, with no card; after day 7 there is no free tier, and the map asks you to subscribe at $47 a month.

The free routes, and what each one is good for

  1. The county property appraiser's site. Free, official and often the freshest record: owner, mailing address, values, exemptions, sales and the legal description. Our list of all 67 appraiser sites links each one and shows how that county writes its parcel IDs. Best for a parcel or two in a county you already know.
  2. The Department of Revenue's roll files. Every county's roll and sale file, free to download, owner names included. Best when you can work a spreadsheet or a database; the download guide covers what the files hold and what they leave you to join.
  3. County GIS viewers and the agencies' own maps. Most counties run a free parcel viewer, and the flood, surge, wetland and soil layers each have a free federal or state map. The Florida GIS guide lists where they live.
  4. Sunbiz. When the owner is a company, the Division of Corporations' free search shows its officers and registered agent. Our guide to who is behind a Florida LLC walks through it.

What the free routes do not do

  • They stop at the county line. An owner with land in three counties is three searches on three sites built three ways.
  • The layers are on other sites. The owner is on one page, the flood zone on FEMA's, the wetlands on the Fish and Wildlife Service's, the company on Sunbiz. You carry the parcel between them by hand.
  • Nothing keeps your notes. What you learned about a lot lives in your own file, not on the parcel.

The first point is bigger than it looks. Grouping owners by the mailing address on the roll, here is how many hold land in more than one county:

Measured on 1 November 2026Count
Parcels on the 2026 rolls, 67 counties11,090,226
Of those, with an owner name11,088,645
Owner groups by mailing address (shared mailboxes left out)7,486,746
Groups holding parcels in two or more counties364,894
Parcels those groups hold1,821,947

That is one parcel in six, held by owners whose land a single county site shows only in part. A group is a mailing address, not proven ownership: two people at one address fall together, and one owner using two addresses falls apart.

The 7-day trial, step by step

  1. Make an account. One short form, no card and no billing details. Signed out, the map shows only sign-up and sign-in.
  2. The 7 days start then. The clock begins when the account is made, not when you first search. Account shows "Free until" and the date.
  3. Everything works. All 67 counties, every layer, Sunbiz, portfolios, notes and exports, under the same caps as a paid plan (1,000 exported properties a day).
  4. No card until you choose. The card is entered only when you press Subscribe. Subscribing early keeps the days you have left, and the account screen says when the first $47 is charged.
  5. Day 8. Without a plan, the map shows one screen, "Your free week is over", with the price and a Subscribe button. The Terms put it this way: "If you did not, your access pauses when the trial ends until you subscribe."

The Terms add that the trial is "7 days free, once per person" and "We charge nothing during the trial." Cancel trial, on the account screen, ends a trial you subscribed to before any charge.

No free tier after the trial

An earlier design gave signed-in users five basic parcel cards a day for free. It is switched off, and we checked the switch today. After day 7 the choice is to subscribe at $47 a month or to use the free county sites above. We would rather say so here than let a free plan be assumed.

How to get the most from a week

  • Bring your own parcels: the ones you are deciding on now, not test addresses.
  • Open one parcel in each county you work, and read its layers next to the owner.
  • Tap the owner to see what else they hold, across counties.
  • Write notes as you go, so day 8 tells you whether it earned its place.

The county property appraiser is the authority on each parcel's owner of record, and the free county site is always there. The trial's terms are the ones in our Terms of service, section 3.
